Transforming clear optical glass into a cosmic collision with light projections
People often ask why I don’t use colored glass in my sculptures. Honestly, I’ve always been drawn to the purity of clear optical glass. There’s something almost magical about how it interacts with light — the way it bends, reflects, and transforms depending on the angle. I love exploring that relationship, letting the glass speak for itself.
This is what can happen when you add light projections inside a clear optical glass sculpture. The artwork is Collision — a piece made from eco-optical glass (Ohara S-BSL7) that weighs over 18 kg.
